Will this cost me eleventy-five billion dollars?
That is a strong no! As a paralegal, I often bill one third the cost of an attorney, or less. I am not a burdensome expense, but instead a great way to help you save money.

Are you licensed or certified?
There is no official licensure for paralegals, but I did earn my paralegal certificate from Mankato State University and my bachelor's in Legal Studies from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved program at Winona State University.

How much experience do you have?
I have over 12 years of experience and spent nearly 11 at a general practice firm covering literally every area of the law.

Do you cover my jurisdiction?
Absolutely, we can work with clients in any jurisdiction across all 50 states.

Can I hire you if I already have an attorney?
Absolutely, that is the best case scenario. When you have an attorney and then hire me, you can immediately tell him to stop doing any work you can send over my way. Again, this will save you considerably on your attorney's fees.

What is the difference between a paralegal and an attorney?
In short, legal advice and representation. I can't represent you in court or give legal advice. Beyond that, I can handle every other aspect of your case.

What kind of work do you do?
Everything short of giving legal advice. I can help with drafting pleadings in court, doing legal research, trial preparation, case mangement, discovery, and literally any other aspect of your case.

What things can't you do?
Give legal advice. There are other nuanced limitations, but they are so specific they rarely apply. The answer here is that I am allowed to do most anything for your case, and I'm ready to.

Do I have attorney-client privilege?
No, I am not bound by the terms of attorney-client privilege. Yet, my firm is held to the same standards of confidentiality and would treat your case under much the same circumstances as attorney-client privilege.
